ARCHIE JOHNSON ROUNDS OUT JAMSPORT LINE-UP<\/h2>\n

Archie Johnson will return to the Jamsport line-up for a third season in 2025 after being confirmed as the final member of a three car entry into the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Johnson will join Henry Howarth and Nicky Gauci on the grid as Jamsport looks to defend the JCW Sport title it won last year, with the 18-year-old stepping up into the series having spent recent seasons competing in the Fiesta ST240 Championship.<\/p>\n

Following a short spell in karting, Johnson moved straight into senior competition when he made the step into cars back in 2023, electing to join the Fiesta series after taking part in Jamsport\u2019s scholarship programme.<\/p>\n

Despite being just 16-years-old, and having to dovetail his racing with school commitments, Johnson enjoyed a productive rookie season to finish fifth in the Club class – scoring multiple class podiums and taking a best overall finish of sixth at Silverstone, where he also picked up class victory.<\/p>\n

With a season of experience under his belt, Johnson returned to the series last season in what was now the Am class, scoring a best finish of second overall as he ended the campaign as runner-up to team-mate Howarth in the standings.<\/p>\n

Having gained two valuable years of experience, Johnson will now embark on the biggest season of his fledgling career to date as he steps onto the BTCC support package for the seven-round JCW Sport season, which kicks off at Donington Park later this month.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>I am looking forward to working with the team at\u00a0Jamsport Racing for a third season,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe progress made so far has enabled me to make the step into the\u00a0MINI CHALLENGE in the JCW Sport class, and I would like to thank the team and my sponsors for their continued support and belief in my ability.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019<\/span>t wait for the season to start and gain more experience, and hopefully, achieve more podium finishes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Team Principal Jamie Going\u00a0admitted he was pleased to see Johnson make the move up for 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Archie had a fantastic season in\u00a02024, and we\u2019<\/span>re all excited to see him step up to the\u00a0MINI CHALLENGE JCW Sport class\u00a0in\u00a02025,\u201d he said. \u201cHe\u2019<\/span>s shown incredible dedication, both on and off the track, and we\u2019<\/span>re looking forward to seeing his continued growth.<\/em><\/p>\n
