Jamsport will seek to win the JCW Sport title for a second successive season after confirming a multi-car entry into the 2025 Vertu MINI CHALLENGE.<\/strong><\/p>\nThe team secured the inaugural JCW Sport crown last season with Dylan Hotchin and will field three cars in the category during the year ahead, with the opening rounds taking place at Donington Park in late April.<\/p>\n
Fiesta ST240 graduate Henry Howarth and Maltese driver Nicky Gauci are the first two drivers to be confirmed in the line-up, with the final member of the squad set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
Howarth returns to the Jamsport squad having competed with the team in the Fiesta ST240 Championship last season, where he stormed to the Am Class title.<\/p>\n
Alongside that, the talented youngster – who was competing in his first season of racing as a member of the Motorsport UK Academy – finished in an impressive fifth overall.<\/p>\n
That put him ahead of more than half of the drivers in the Pro category, and marked him out as one to watch as he now makes the step up into the BTCC support category.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter a really successful 2024 season, winning the Am class in the Fiesta ST240 Championship, I\u2019m excited to step up into the BTCC paddock and the JCW Sport class of the MINI CHALLENGE,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n\u201cMy goal is to push myself even further and improve on last year\u2019s success. I\u2019m delighted to remain part of the Jamsport Racing family. They are an amazing team, and I can\u2019t wait to work closely with them to fight at the front of the grid.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nGauci meanwhile secured his place on the grid with the team after emerging on top of the Scholarship programme that was held during the winter.<\/p>\n
Gauci has previous experience in a range of different disciplines, securing national titles in karting and going on to represent his country in the Formula 4 event at the 2024 FIA Motorsport games, with his aim being to fight towards the front of the class on his MINI CHALLENGE debut.<\/p>\n
“After months of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, I am truly honoured to be selected as the Jamsport Racing Scholarship winner,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n\u201cCompeting in the 2025 MINI CHALLENGE UK JCW Sport class is a dream come true. I\u2019m proud to be the first Maltese driver to reach this milestone, and I\u2019m grateful for the chance to showcase my skills on such a prestigious stage.<\/em><\/p>\n\u201cJoining Jamsport Racing has been amazing, they\u2019ve already been so supportive, and I\u2019ve learned so much. I can\u2019t wait to continue growing with them and fight for the front of the grid this season.”<\/em><\/p>\nTeam boss Jamie Going was pleased to welcome the pair onboard for 2025 as Jamsport looks to make it two JCW Sport titles in as many seasons.<\/p>\n
