FRESH LIVERY FOR MATT HAMMOND WITH MAIRON SUPPORT<\/h2>\n

Matt Hammond will debut a new look on his Vertu MINI CHALLENGE entry when the JCW campaign resumes at Oulton Park for the latest two rounds of the season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hammond made the move up into the JCW class for the first time this season following multiple seasons in the Cooper category, which included a run to the title in 2017 with the same EXCELR8 team behind his current programme.<\/p>\n

Although supported by Derby University, Hammond\u2019s car has been largely devoid of sponsors in the three rounds run to date, but will now adopt the same livery as that seen on the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy entry of series rookie Tommy Watson.<\/p>\n

Watson has been unable to compete so far this season as a result of a knee injury, with Hammond having being drafted in to drive the car for the events at Pembrey and Thruxton.<\/p>\n

Alongside that, the relationship between the pair will now see Watson\u2019s Mairon Freight UK brand amongst those transferred over to also appear on Hammond\u2019s JCW machine from Oulton Park onwards, with Watson hoping to return to action when the Cooper class resumes after the summer break.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy season hasn\u2019t gone to plan at all but it is what it is,\u201d Watson admitted. \u201cWe\u2019ll see how things progress going forwards, but in the meantime, I don\u2019t think there could be anyone better than Matt to bring in.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to now be able to back his JCW programme as well, and it helps to get the Mairon brand out there a bit more. It also offers extra coverage to my sponsors as they have backed me this season and obviously I\u2019ve not been out on track to represent them myself, so it provides me with the opportunity to give them something extra as well.”<\/em><\/p>\n
