Organisers of the Vertu Motors MINI CHALLENGE can today confirm that the 2024 season will once again feature a total of 14 race dates split between the headline JCW category and the entry-level MINI CHALLENGE Trophy.<\/p>\n
For a fifth successive season, the JCW class will compete exclusively on the high-profile British Touring Car Championship support package with events being held at six circuits across the UK.<\/p>\n
As was the case in 2023, the season will get underway on the Donington Park National circuit in late April before the first of two visits to Brands Hatch for round two on the shorter Indy layout.<\/p>\n
Events at Snetterton and Oulton Park follow before the summer break, with action then getting back underway at Croft – which returns to the JCW calendar for the first time since 2021.<\/p>\n
The penultimate weekend of racing at Knockhill in Scotland is then followed by the now traditional season finale on the Brands Hatch GP circuit.<\/p>\n
The 2024 MINI CHALLENGE season will kick off with the first event of the year for the hugely-popular Trophy class, with Snetterton hosting the first event of the year for the Cooper cars in mid-April.<\/p>\n
After a year away, the Coopers then head for the Pembrey circuit in Wales for the first of two events alongside the British Truck Racing Championship, with the first of three BTCC support meetings coming before the summer break at Thruxton.<\/p>\n
Following a visit to Donington Park GP circuit in late August, the series then heads for Croft in early September to headline an all-new event – further details of which will be revealed in due course – before the final BTCC support meeting at Silverstone later that month.<\/p>\n
The season then draws to a close at Brands Hatch in November as part of the annual Bonfire Night celebrations.<\/p>\n
Entries for both the JCW and Cooper classes will open following the completion of the current season.<\/p>\n
